Rooted in the Land
1813 is a single vineyard wine label from Tinonee Vineyard Estate, a boutique working vineyard set on a 50-acre parcel of land. Across 16 acres, 1813 grows a diverse range of grape varieties including Verdelho, Muscat, Chambourcin, Shiraz, and Fiano. The vineyard is sustainably farmed and carefully managed using industry best practices to support long-term soil health, vine vitality, and responsible land stewardship.

A Vineyard That Never Stands Still
The changing landscape of the vineyard is captivating as the vines take on a different character with each season. Spring brings the excitement of the first bud break, followed by the development of large, lush green leaves through summer that protect the grapes as they begin to change colour and ripen, gradually preparing for harvest. In autumn, the vineyard transforms again as the leaves turn brilliant shades of red and yellow, creating a striking patchwork across the rows.
By winter, the vines shed their leaves, leaving behind bare canes that form intricate, labyrinth-like patterns stretching across the vineyard, revealing the quiet structure of the vines before the cycle begins again.
What the critics are saying
Nestled among the greenery of the Tinonee Vineyard Estate, 1813 punches well above its weight. The digs at the foot of the Broken Back range are elegant and romantic while the 2018 Fiano is a varietal that’s as tantalising as it is unusual.

It’s all about timing
In mid-summer, the grapes are carefully harvested and sent to the winery, destined to become exceptional wines. As autumn and winter arrive, the vines gracefully shed their leaves and rest, gathering strength for the first buds of spring—continuing the vineyard’s timeless cycle.
