A Tasting Worth Making the Trip For
$20 per person
Settle into our glass atrium, surrounded by the very vines that shape every glass you taste. There’s no bar to queue at, no script to sit through — just a relaxed conversation about wine that happens to be grown right outside the window.
Each flight of eight wines is paired with a small serve of olives, and for The Governor, a piece of dark Lindt chocolate — personally selected by Thomas Schnetzler, Lindt Master Chocolatier for Australia. A quiet indulgence designed to slow the whole afternoon down.
Settle in. Savour the wine.
The Atrium
An unhurried setting to explore the wines at your own pace. During the warmer months, relax in our air-conditioned cellar door and take in the picturesque scenery and spectacular sandstone formation known as Yellow Rock, framed by the estate vines. In the cooler months, settle in fireside in our adjoining atrium, where the warmth of an open fire meets the quiet beauty of Tinonee Vineyard Estate.

Your Next Location
Each shoot captured here was made possible by opening our gates to creators, directors, and brands looking for something the Hunter Valley does better than anywhere else – a location that needs no introduction.
Television Commercial — Volkswagen
Some places don’t need dressing up. A single vineyard, stone and vine under the Brokenback Range, light a
production can’t replicate — the Volkswagen T-Cross, shot at 1813’s cellar door and across Tinonee
Vineyard Estate, proof the right backdrop does most of the work.
Clothing Shoot — Viasarto
Linen shirts and pants, shot at 1813, against vine and stone that needed no adjusting — Viasarto’s relaxed, understated linen, easy in the hand, easier to wear, in the kind of place that does the work without trying.
Television Commercial — Simon Curwood Jewellery
Diamonds, in light worth their cut — Simon Curwood’s rings, shot at 1813, where the vines hold the kind of clarity no studio can match, the right backdrop for stones that already shine.
Charity Lunch — Cerebral Palsy
A long table, a good cause, and an afternoon that asked for nothing but good company — 1813 hosted a charity lunch in support of Cerebral Palsy, raising funds across the vines, with good food, good wine, and a room full of people who turned up for the right reasons.
Food Photography
Food shot on travertine, with nothing added for effect — natural stone and vineyard light, the perfect tone to let the food speak for itself, in a stillness most kitchens can only borrow for an afternoon.
